10 places you must to see around Bodrum

Underwater Museum and St Peter Castle

Situated in the heart of Bodrum. It is open everyday apart from Mondays. A wonderful museum and one not to miss. St Peters Castle is one of the worlds most preserved monuments. Underwater excavations carry on each year around Bodrum. Many students from around the world also work to improve this amazing collection.
 

Windmills View Point

Situated on the hill between Bodrum and Gumbet. A wonderful view point where you can see both of the resorts and Kos Island. To get there try the Gumbet Dolmus,Minibus from the center bus station or simply get a taxi and ask for the Windmills. There is a cafe offering cold drinks and it is free of charge. Be aware of the people selling gifts and items here as prices might be more expensive than town center.

Bodrum Market

There is a market day every Tuesday and Friday near the bus station in Bodrum. Tuesdays are for textiles and Fridays for food. You can negotiate and get some great discounts. It is very busy and crowded,so be extra careful with your money.

Rabbit Island and Gumusluk

You can get Dolmus Minibus to Gumusluk any time of the day. The journey takes nearly 40 minutes. Prices are very reasonable and Gumusluk is definitely worth a visit. Rabbit Island is a very small Island where you can walk to from Gumusluk beach. As the name gives it away, famous for the rabbits living on the island. Great Fish restaurants,friendly locals and a the pretty Gumusluk Bazaar makes a perfect place to visit during your holiday.
 

Turgutreis Marina

This new marina attracts many tourists to Turgutreis. Turgutreis Marina is probably one of the newest marinas in Europe. It is very modern and attractive. You will find some great shops around the marina for shopping and many bars and restaurants attractively placed by the sea. It is worth a visit to Turgutreis to spend an afternoon and visit Turgutreis Marina.
 

Dedeman Aqua park

Aqua parks are always popular in any holiday destination. This one also became very popular in the last 5 years in Bodrum. Situated near Bitez and Gumbet on the main highway. You can get tickets either at the door or from your tour operators. Dedeman Aquapark have many slides and attractions for any age group. You will find cafes and restaurants inside the Aqua park. Open from end of May till end of September.
 

Turkish Bath

Turkish Bath is the best half day spent in town. Relaxing and enjoyable. Also locals believe that it gives you a younger skin and a better tan. If you have never tried a Turkish Bath, why not try one during your visit to Bodrum. There are many to choose from and the prices vary as well. Oasis Shopping Center has the best cinemas in Bodrum and most of the films are shown as originals with Turkish subtitles.
 

Bodrum Bar Street

One for the night life lovers. Bodrum Bar Street in the day time is like a small bazzar with many gift and textile shops and at night it becomes one of the nicest bar streets in Europe. You can find rock bars, live music bars, night clubs and much more. Ask any of the locals and they will direct you to Bodrum Bar Street in the center of town.
